Finally, the weather was great for fishing yesterday. But the fishing wasn't great. We didn't
boat a fish all afternoon and every report I saw had similar results. At best a few had 2 or 3 fish and they fished
all day to get them.
If I ever get my hands on that Ground Hog . . .
If we ever see some warmer temps
I believe the fishing will be incredible. A few more days of sunshine and a little less rain will go a long, long way.

The fish are there, if you can only plan your trip to coincide with the weather.
All in all
we have had only 1 or 2 days a week to get on the water. We recovered well from the freeze, now its time for the wind
and the rain to subside. On the days we can get out we are finding decent numbers of fish. The main problem is
that after the fronts push through we are bombarded by high pressure, which makes for a beautiful day but really hurts fishing
overall.
If you can get out while the pressure is dropping you will find the fish eating and eating well.
One day we stayed out until it began to rain and the last hour or so was incredible. Not only were the fish in a feeding
frenzy, they were swallowing the entire jig head. If you were throwing a suspending bait the fish were practically dragging
the rod out of your hand when they hit.
It is hard to plan a trip very far in advance so watch the forecast daily
and if you can find a window of opportunity in between fronts jump on it!
