Mother Nature has struck once again. With temps barely reaching above freezing, and winds gusting
to 30 mph I doubt anyone was on the water in the past few days. However, with the temperature on the rise and light
winds forecast for the early part of the week, the fishing should bounce back to the same if not better than we've had the
past 2 weeks. Once the tides return to normal the flats should turn on and mid-bay fishing should resume to the
usual "Winter" pattern. This time of year suspending baits ar a very lightly weighted soft plastic should
do the trick. I hope to have some good reports by the end of the week. www.bayfishingadventures.com

We weathered the cold again today, but did not get the results we were looking for. Fishing West
Bay again, we left the dock at 8 o'clock. We couldn't find a keeper for the first couple of hours. even though
I think they were there, the big fish just wouldn't bite, or they were getting beat out by the little ones.
Finally all at once, the rods began to double up with a few keepers. Included in the mix were a couple of large Gulf
Trout. When the bite stopped we turned around for a second drift and we missed the school. After turing around
and readjusting we moved through them again.
As the day came to an end, we had caught around 20 fish, but only
managed to box 6.
